Description

In the beginning Clapham Junction was a simple cross roads with an inn providing travellers with a rest stop and simple refreshments. After the arrival of the railway in 1839, the station formerly opened in 1863, with just a signal box. Over the years Clapham Junction has grown to be one of the country's busiest railway stations with over 2500 trains passing every day.
