Description
St Johns Kirk is a Victorian neo-gothic church, with a 240 ft spire, taller than any other in the city. Designed by Augustus Pugin - the same man who designed the Houses of Parliament in London, its dramatic exterior is only then beginning, for the intricate detail of the interior is a great credit to architecture of that period of time. The church itself is now seldom used as a place of worship, however it has now become the head office for the Edinburgh International Festival.
