Mons Meg

Mons Meg is a very large muzzle loading siege gun. A powerful piece of artillery, she was able to fire huge stone cannonballs up to 1.5 miles. However due to the sheer weight of the gun meant that it could only be moved on average 3 miles a day. In 1681 Mons Meg fired its last cannonball bursting its barrel and has been displayed in the vaults ever since.
